Bianca Umali on marrying Ruru Madrid: ‘We really are ready’

Bianca Umali addressed the speculation that she and Ruru Madrid are already married.

On Tuesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Sparkle star set the record straight: they are not yet married, and they have no plans to live together outside of marriage.

She also told Tito Boy that they are currently maximizing their individual careers, but know in their hearts that they are ready to get married.

Per Bianca, the speculation that they already tied the knot started when she served as a hurado on “It’s Showtime’s” Kalokalike segment.

There was a contestant who joined as Ruru's lookalike, so they were asked some questions by Vice Ganda as if they were the actual RuCa couple.

They were quizzed about the date of their anniversary, but Bianca and the contestant had different answers.

“Tapos ang sinabi ko, ‘Mahal, sinabi mo sa akin na papakasalan mo ako. Pero bakit hindi mo alam ang anibersaryo nating dalawa?’” Bianca recalled.

During the commercial break, Bianca checked her phone, and she was surprised by viewers’ reactions, with some speculating that she and Ruru were already married or that the “Lolong” actor had already proposed to her. There were also others who thought the two were already living together, which she shot down.

“Kami po ni Ruru ay, of course, we are on our seventh year of the relationship currently. Of course, our conversations are there," she said about marriage.

She added that it's easy to say that they're ready to get married "because in our hearts, we really are ready. At alam ko rin po na ‘yan ang sagot ni Ruru."

“Tanong din talaga siya sa utak ko na totoong, ‘Kailan?’ Nandon din siya. Siyempre, I mean kung gaano ko kamahal si Ruru, and bilang babae, siyempre it’s something that is very exciting to me."

Bianca and Ruru have been together for over six years.

Ruru previously said that Bianca is “the one.”

The couple recently flew out to Japan together, where they enjoyed ramen, matcha lattes, and yakiniku.
