Is Nadine Samonte in favor of divorce? Sparkle star answers

Is Nadine Samonte in favor of divorce?

This was a question posed to the Sparke star during her guesting on Wednesday's "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

“I’m a Christian. We have different beliefs. Para sa ‘kin po, Tito Boy, ako, ayoko," she said.

Nadine explained that this is because she came from a broken family. Her parents divorced when she was only 12 years old.

“So, parang ayoko ng ganun kasi ‘yung effect sa mga bata, ako mismo nakaranas eh. So, nagkaroon ng effect sa ‘min ng mga kapatid ko,” she said.

According to the actress, this made them hate one of their parents, and they kept on questioning why it happened when they could’ve just stayed together.

She said that their dad was constantly in Germany and would visit them and stay for one to two months only.

Nadine felt jealous of her classmates whose parents were always present, saying, “‘Yung dad nila pupunta sa events nila. Ako, wala.”

She added that she doesn’t want to put her children through the same thing.

“At tsaka, Tito Boy, ‘yun ‘yung maganda sa'ming dalawa ni Richard. We’re talking about it na parang sinasabi namin,” she said.

Her husband, Richard Chua, would tell her, “Wala sa bokabularyo natin ang divorce. Hinding-hindi tayo maghihiwalay kahit anong mangyari.”

Nadine and Richard tied the knot in 2013. Three years later, she gave birth to their first child, Heather. They have two other kids: Titus, whom Nadine gave birth to in 2019, and Harmony in 2021.

Nadine currently stars in “Forever Young” with Euwenn Mikaell, Eula Valdez, Michael De Mesa, Alfred Vargas, Rafael Rosell, Matt Lozano, Althea Ablan, Abdul Rahman, Princess Aliyah, Bryce Eusebio, and more.

“Forever Young” airs weekdays at 4 p.m. after “Shining Inheritance.”
