Jeraldine of Blackman Family shares secret to happy marriage with Australian husband Joshua

Jeraldine of the Blackman Family has been in a healthy relationship with her Australian husband, Joshua Blackman, for seven years now.

On the sidelines of their family’s contract signing with Sparkle on Tuesday, the Australian-based content creator gushed about how Joshua made it easy for her to adjust to him despite their cultural differences.

“Like, he would understand, like, you know, he would understand the way Filipinos are because I'm very Filipino,” she said.

“If you marry an Australian or, like, a foreigner, diba maraming adjustments? Because they can't understand our culture. Pero, like, I mean, Joshua is, like, very understanding. Kaya hindi ako masyadong nag-adjust sa kaniya,” she added.

On Joshua's end, he said that Australia is "very multicultural."

"So, the culture [gap] wasn't too bad for me. I'm used to being around lots of different cultures,” Joshua said.

“You just have to be honest and open communication, and you always have to understand each other,” she said.

Jeraldine said the secret to their strong marriage is "honesty and open communication."

"You always have to understand each other," she said.

Jeraldine married Joshua Blackman, an Australian from Sydney in 2017, after meeting him in 2015. They have been blessed them with two adorable kids: Nimo and Jette.

The Blackman Family signed a contract with Sparkle on Tuesday, October 8 at the GMA Network.
