Jesi Corcuera, StarStruck alumnus and transman, pregnant with first child

StarStruck alumnus and transman Jesi Corcuera is pregnant with his first child.

Jesi shared the news through a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday, reflecting on his journey to becoming a parent.

According to Jesi, it was his partner Cams and her kids who made him realize how much he wanted to have his own child.

"Sa pagtayo ko bilang tatay ng mga anak ni Cams, maraming naging realizations. Isa na dun 'yung baka may chance pa pala akong magkaroon ng sarili kong anak," he said.

Jesi said he first planned to have a child in 2018 via in vitro fertilization (IVF), but financial struggles and other problems delayed his wish.

"Fast forward ngayong taon, di ko in-expect na mabubuo siya through my last option na ako ang magdadala pero sobrang thankful ako na pinagkaloob ito ng Diyos sa akin," Jesi said.

"Hindi naging madali ang prosesong ito para sa akin kaya sana hindi n'yo rin ganun kadaling husgahan kung anong nakikita n'yo ngayon," he added.

He also said that his responsibilities as a father to Cams's children will not change once they welcome their newest bundle of joy, whom he called "Ninja."

"Sa lahat ng desisyon ko sa buhay, malaki ang naging parte ng mga bata at ni Cams sa kung ano ako ngayon," Jesi said. "Samahan n'yo kami sa bagong journey ng buhay kong ito. At sana kapulutan ng aral at inspirasyon ng marami."

In the comments, netizens and celebrities such as Luis Hontiveros and Jesi's fellow StarStruck alumnus Dion Ignacio sent in their congratulations and well-wishes for him.

Jesi was part of "StarStruck: The Next Level" which aired on GMA Network in 2006. His batchmates include Kris Bernal, Aljur Abrenica, and Chariz Solomon, among others.
