EJ Obiena's mom Jeanette on his GF Caroline Joyeux: 'Mabait siya'

EJ Obiena's mom Jeanette has nothing but praises for her his German girlfriend Caroline Joyeux.

EJ and Jeanette graced the latest episode of "My Mother, My Story" on Sunday and talked about their mother and son relationship and his family's relationship with Caroline.

"Gusto ko makita kung ano 'yung hitsura talaga, and at the same time, how tall, how short. Bakit ito 'yung nakuha niya? Ito 'yung una sa mind namin," Jeanette said when asked for her reaction when EJ told them about Caroline.

"Pero noong ipinakilala niya mabait naman kasi siya. Mabait siya," she continued, adding that she likes Caroline for her son. "Nakakasama namin siya, 'di ba. Mabait siya. [She] takes care of him. I hope she won't change."

EJ and Caroline, a German athlete, have been together since 2020. They met at a training camp in Italy.

In an interview with "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Filipino athlete said Caroline is someone who makes him want to be a better person.

The couple are currently in France for the Paris Fashion Week where they met Sparkle beauty queen Michelle Dee.

Caroline was in the Philippines for three weeks. During her vacation, she participated in a coastal cleanup drive in Pasay City, had a trip to Laguna, attended EJ's meet and greet event, countless media interviews, and a set visit to Boy Abunda's "My Mother, My Story" shoot with EJ and his mother.
