Dulce shares most important lesson in love and the advice she gives her kids about men

Dulce has many lessons to share about love.

But on Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Asia's Timeless Diva was asked what the most important lesson she learned in love was.

"Mahalagang leksyon. Kasi ayoko ring sabihin 'yung wag mo ibigay lahat, magtira ka sa sarili mo. Laging sinasabi sa'kin kasi, 'Magtira ka naman sa sarili mo, lagi kang todo bigay,' but ano ang kuwenta ng love kung hindi mo rin naman ibibigay ang lahat?" the veteran singer said.

Despite all of love's joys and heartaches, she shared that she doesn't regret anything and to just keep keeping on.

"Kung ano man 'yung mga kasawiang nangyayari wala rin akong sinisisi, wala rin akong pinagsisisihan. Nangyari ang mga nangyari and para sa akin ituloy mo ang buhay, bumangon ka," she said. "Bangon. Tuloy ang buhay. Just move on."

The "Ako Ang Nasawi, Ako Ang Nagwagi" singer also said that it is important to keep fighting and stay strong, especially when one has children.

"Laging lumaban, lalo na meron kang mga anak na kailangan ]nandiyan ka, you're a pole eh. Ikaw 'yung pwede nilang hawakan lalo na't mga bata pa sila," she said.

Dulce also talked about the advice she gives to her children about men, such as to not rush into things and to pray to God for the right love.

In turn, she also prays to God to prepare the right person for her children.

"Wag silang gumaya sa akin na ako'y hulog lang nang hulog noon, in love nang in love tapos ako lugi, di ba?" she said.

"Malala pa raw ako sa bakla sabi nila, kasi I want to give, ganun daw ako. Eh wala eh, 'yun na nga 'yun eh, talagang nagmahal ka. Kung nasa sitwasyon na kung kailangan mong maging ikaw na rin man of the house, ginagawa mo. Nangyari 'yun. Wag na sanang maulit sa mga anak ko."

When asked by Tito Boy how she's doing today when it comes to love, the singer just quipped, "Pag-ibig ko na lang si Lord. Sobra sobra. Kasi parang sa edad ko, Boy, para bang tama na. Di ba? Kapuy (pagod) na uy."

In the "Fast Talk" episode, Dulce also looked back on her early beginnings as a singer. In one story, she shared that she was scolded by her team back then for being a "rebel" because she refused to get her nose done.

Dulce is a doting mom to her five children: Deejay, Dave and Dana with Danny Cruz, and daughters Jem and Abby with Bernard Beltran Cruzata.

The Cebuana singer is known for other hit songs like "Paano," "Kastilyong Buhangin," "Dulce Amor," and more.

Dulce is set to join fellow artists in an upcoming worshop concert by non-governmental organization Christian Broadcasting Networks (CBN) Asia.

Titled “Beyond Measure,” the concert will be held on September 24, 5 p.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
