Glydel Mercado says she and husband Tonton Gutierrez don't meddle with their children's lives

Glydel Mercado and her husband Tonton Gutierrez are letting their children live the lives that they want. 

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the "Shining Inheritance" star said she and Tonton never meddle with their children's decisions.

"Kami ayaw namin silang pakialamanan," Glydel said.

"Like si Aneeza 'yung panganay, gusto niyang mag-aral sa ibang bansa. Kahit na ako ina-anxiety tuwing umaalis siya, pinapayagan namin para i-spread niya ang wings niya," she added.

She said that she is nothing but a proud mom to her eldest daughter for her intelligence.

Glydel and Tonton have been together for 23 years and married for 17. The couple have two daughters together, Aneeza and Aneeka.

Previously, Tonton said that it's important for couples to simply enjoy their journey.

Glydel currently stars in the Philippine adaptation of "Shining Inheritance" with Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Michael Sager, Paul Salas, and Coney Reyes.

Meanwhile, Tonton currently appears in GMA Network's murder-mystery series "Widows' War."
