Ruru Madrid reacts to Bianca Umali's 'papakasalan mo ako' comment on 'It's Showtime'

Are Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid engaged?

This is the question on some people's minds after the Kapuso Prime Gem appeared as a guest judge on "It's Showtime" segment Kalokalike: Face 4 on Monday.

During her banter with Kevin, a contestant who impersonated her boyfriend, Bianca said, "Nagsabi ka sa 'kin papakasalan mo ako."

"24 Oras" asked for Ruru's reaction to that statement during an event he attended.

"Simula naman nung unang beses kong nakasama't nakilala si Bianca pinangakuan ko na siya agad. Hanggang pangako lang muna tayo," said the Primetime Action Hero.

As for what he would answer if Bianca asks him when will he marry her, he said, "Malalaman natin 'yan sa susunod na kabanata."

Bianca and Ruru have been together for over six years. They made their relationship public in 2022.

Bianca is set to play Danaya's daughter Terra in the upcoming "Encantadia" spinoff "Sang'gre." She will be joined by Angel Guardian, Kelvin Miranda, and Faith Da Silva.

Ruru, meanwhile, will star in "Green Bones," an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024. His co-stars include Dennis Trillo, Sofia Pablo, and Kylie Padilla.
