Coney Reyes on Vico Sotto's love life: 'Hindi ako nakikialam'
When it comes to Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto's love life, his mom Coney Reyes has no say.
On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the actress said that she never meddles in her son's romantic relationships.
"Hindi ako nakikialam. Mayroong mga gusto 'Tita, ipakilala natin si ganito si ganyan.' Sabi ko, 'Sorry 'di ako nakikialam.' Tapos sasabihin nila, 'Ang strict ni Tita.' Ay hindi sa strict! Hindi ako strict, kung strict ako e 'di bawal," she said.
According to Coney, she has stopped asking Vico about his relationships and his plans to settle down.
"Noong araw ginagawa ko, 'Do you have a girlfriend na? Do you like somebody?' Noon 'yon. Ayoko na," she said.
When it comes to her son's girlfriends, Coney said Vico never brought one home and introduced it to the family.
"He had girlfriends, friends, mga classmates niya before, mga ganyan and they will all go out as a group. You know they will go out something like that for a break," she said. "Pero hindi naman kasi ako ano eh, alam ko na I've raised my children in a way na they know that they have fear of God. They know what they are doing."
Vico is Coney's son to Vic Sotto. The mother and son share a close relationship, with Vico always posting throwback photos of him with his mom.
Coney is set to star in the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean drama "Shining Inheritance" alongside Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, and Michael Sager. It will begin airing on September 9 at 4 p.m.
"Shining Inheritance" originally starred Lee Seung Gi, Han Hyo Joo, Moon Chae Won, and Bae Soo Bin.
