Derek Ramsay comforts Elias during blood test

Derek Ramsay was a supportive stepdad as he comforted Elias in taking a blood test, going so far as taking it himself.

Elias, the son of Derek’s wife Ellen Adarna with former partner John Lloyd Cruz, was afraid and crying ahead of his test, as seen in Ellen’s Instagram Reel. The nurse and his Papa D were telling him that the blood test would not be painful, and that a needle would simply be poked in his finger.

To show that there was nothing to worry about, Derek went ahead and did the test.

When it was the six-year-old’s turn, Derek held his hands. “Go, Papa D and you together,” the actor said.

After his test, Derek patted Elias on the head.

Ellen said in her caption, “Blood tests be like … I’m taking you down with me. Na among [nadamay] ang papa D.”

Derek commented, “All for one, one for all!!!”

Derek and Ellen got engaged and married in 2021 after less than a year of dating. The couple celebrated the third anniversary of their relationship last February.

Ellen co-parents Elias with John Lloyd. Ellen has said that John Lloyd is a present and supportive father.

Their family recently went on vacation to Norway and Antarctica.
