Bianca Umali honors grandmother on 88th birthday: 'Utang at alay ko sayo ang buhay ko'

Bianca Umali paid tribute to her grandmother and “superhero,” Vicky Umali, on her 88th birthday.

On Instagram, the Kapuso Prime Gem posted a baby photo with her Mama Vicky carrying her, and wrote a touching message.

“Mahal na mahal na mahal kita, Mama,” Bianca wrote.

“Wala ako sa kung nasaan ako sa mundong ito… kung hindi dahil sayo. Utang at alay ko sayo ang buhay ko,” she added.

The actress added that she will be the one who will take care of her Mama Vicky from now on.

“Hindi ako mapapagod sabihin sayo ng paulit ulit—mahal kita, Ma."

The Kapuso actress was orphaned at an early age. Bianca lost her mother due to breast cancer at age five, then lost her dad due to a heart attack when she was 10. She was raised by her Mama Vicky.

In a previous interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Bianca hopes that she makes her parents proud.

Bianca is starring in the upcoming “Encantadia” spin-off series, “Sang’gre,” as Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa.

Joining her are Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, the new protector of the Brilyante ng Tubig; and Angel Guardian as Deia, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin.
