Angelica Panganiban's mother passes away

Angelica Panganiban on Wednesday announced that her mother, Annabelle “Ebela” Panganiban, has passed away. She was 61 years old.

On Instagram, Angelica posted Annabelle's funeral details. She did not name a cause of death.

The wake and memorial service will be held at Aeternitas Chapels and Columbarium in Commonwealth, Quezon City beginning on Thursday, August 22.

The comments section was filled with condolences and messages of support from Angelica’s fellow celebrities and industry friends, including Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana, Camille Prats, Alessandra De Rossi, Lotlot De Leon, and Coney Reyes.

Last April, Angelica paid tribute to her mom following her second wedding to Gregg Homan in Siargao.

Angelica credits all that she has now to Annabelle.

“Ikaw ang kayamanan ko na kaya kong ipagmalaki kahit kanino dahil ang lahat ng aral na napulot ko sayo ang ipapamana ko sa pamilya ko,” she said.

“Hindi ako perpekto at ideal na anak. Matigas ang ulo ko at madalas nilalaban ko ang mga gusto kong subukan. Pero hindi mo ko pinigilan o sadyang wala ka na lang nagawa. Salamat at hinayaan mo kong subukin ang lahat para sa ikakatapang ko. Mahal kita ma," she added.

She also said that the lessons she learned from Annabelle helps her become a good wife to Gregg and a good mom to their daughter Amila.
