Bea Alonzo opens up on how her mom was affected by breakup with Dominic Roque
Bea Alonzo's mother, Mary Anne Ranollo, remained quiet when the actress broke up with her former fiancé, Dominic Roque.
However, that did not mean that she was not affected by what her daughter was going through.
On "My Mother, My Story," Bea sat down with Boy Abunda and opened up on how her mom took everything that happened when she separated from Dominic.
"She was very much affected, especially dahil marami ngang nasasabi tungkol sa 'kin na hindi totoo. I think 'yun 'yung pinakamalaking weight sa kanya," Bea said.
The Kapuso star said her mom felt it was unfair for her reputation to take a hit from all the speculations being when her wedding got called off.
Even so, Mary Anne stayed silent, just as she has always done in Bea's past breakups.
Bea, for her part, admitted that she felt hurt that her family got involved in some of the rumors.
"Ang masakit lang sa 'kin syempre nadadamay sila. 'Yun 'yung medyo may sting din, kasi ako sanay ako eh," she said. "Matagal ko nang ginagawa 'to pero kapag 'yung pamilya na 'yung nadadamay tapos gumagawa sila ng mga theories tas ginagawang villain 'yung nanay ko, masakit."
Bea got engaged to Dominic in July 2023. They initially planned to get married this year.
In February, Tito Boy confirmed their split on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" and the former couple later released a statement announcing that they have called off their wedding.
Bea currently stars in Kapuso murder-mystery series "Widows' War," which airs weeknights at 8:50 p.m. after "Pulang Araw."
