Karylle announces passing of her dad Modesto Tatlonghari
Karylle's father, Modesto Tatlonghari, has passed away, the "It's Showtime" host announced on Sunday.
In her Instagram post, Karylle shared some snaps from the wake and some memorabilia of their family. In the caption, she remembered some of her fondest memories with her dad.
"His philosophy in life was that if your white rubber shoes (or sneakers) weren't dirty enough, it meant you didn't play or have enough fun," Karylle wrote. "He was always in for the fun!"
"High attendance and truly present in school events, Tito M was everyone's dream dad," she added. "I was always lucky because he was my dad."
Karylle also said her dad left a safe filled with photos.
"There's likely also a photo of you that he took. Don't worry if you haven't received yours, it just means I haven't given it to you yet," she said.
"He treasured the people he loved the most, and you've been kept safe in his heart of hearts," she added.
Karylle ended her post by expressing how happy she is that her dad has seen her latest play, "Little Shops of Horrors," four times.
"'Little Shop of Horrors' was our favorite movie and, like him, a happy part of my childhood," she said.
"I will always love him and miss him. Thank you, Lord, for Papa M."
