Heart Evangelista on renewal of vows with Chiz Escudero: 'Love is sweeter the second time around'

Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero renewed their vows in February, but the Global Fashion Icon said, "Everything still feels like yesterday."

On YouTube, Heart shared a vlog containing the preparations for their renewal of vows in Balesin, as well as how she celebrated her 39th birthday.

"It's true what they say… love is sweeter the second time around," Heart said.

"Nine years after we first exchanged our wedding vows, Chiz and I celebrated my birthday and got married again in the same place where our journey started," she added.

During their renewal of vows, Heart donned a custom Elie Saab piece with intricate beading and a veil. She also carried a "couture" bouquet by the same fashion designer.

In late July, Heart renewed her contract with GMA Network.

In the same month, Heart attended the GMA Gala 2024 with her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero.

Along with the senator, Heart also graced the third State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos.
