Maxene Magalona 'grateful' to reconnect with mom Pia, brother Elmo: 'In His perfect time'

Maxene Magalona took to social media to express her happiness over reconnecting with her family.

On Instagram, Maxene shared photos with her mom, Pia Magalona, and her brother, Elmo Magalona, taken during their recent lunch date.

For Maxene, reuniting and bonding with her family is “incredibly healing.”

“Reconnecting with family and just having a good time catching up, laughing uncontrollably about funny memories and telling each other how proud you are of one another,” Maxene said.

“Forever grateful for these moments and hoping that we have more with the rest of the family,” she added. “Thanking God for bringing us back together in His perfect time.”

Maxene ended her post by thanking Pia for their lunch date.

“I enjoyed hanging out with you and Elmo,” she said. “See you again soon.”

In a past episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas,” Maxene revealed she kept a distance from her family for a while to heal.

Maxene said that “it was one of the most painful things” to stay away from her family for a time but that “it was very much needed.”

She also revealed on the podcast that she and Saab are now okay and that they talked and reconnected last year.

In March, the Magalona family reunited for Francis Magalona’s 15th death anniversary.
