Maxene Magalona calls sisters Saab, Unna her ‘guiding light’ in throwback post
Maxene Magalona took a trip down memory lane, and she brought her sisters Saab and Unna with her.
On Instagram, the actress shared an old snap of them wearing gowns at an event. In the photo, a young Maxene, Saab, and Unna can be seen smiling wide for the camera.
In the caption, Maxene quoted Sal Williams and wrote, “Because angels are sometimes busy elsewhere, God created sisters like you.”
She then honored and expressed her love and appreciation for her sisters.
“To my dear sisters [Unna] and [Saab], I love and honor you. Thank you for being my safe space and guiding light,” Maxene said.
The actress and healing advocate revealed in a past episode of "Updated With Nelson Canlas" that she kept a distance from her family for a while so she could heal.
Maxene said that “it was one of the most painful things” to stay away from her family for a time, but that “it was very much needed.”
She also revealed on the podcast that she and Saab are now okay and that they talked and reconnected last year.
According to her, their family reunited for their dad Francis M’s 15th death anniversary at the cemetery last March.
