'Bridgerton' announces Benedict as the lead in Season 4
Benedict Bridgerton is getting the spotlight in the next season of "Bridgerton!"
Netflix and Shondaland on Tuesday night announced that Benedict, the second son played by Luke Thompson, will be the main lead in Season 4.
"Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down—until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball," said the official description in Netflix's statement.
"Bridgerton" Season 4 will have eight episodes, and showrunner Jess Brownell earlier teased that it will be "extremely juicy."
Based on the books by Julia Quinn, "Bridgerton" follows eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family as they attempt to find love. Season 1 followed Daphne, Season 2 followed Anthony, and Season 3 followed Colin.
In the previous season, Filipino actors James Bradwell and Martin Sarreal played the roles of Lord Basilio and Lord Barnell. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
