Leo Martinez says Cherie Gil was 'close na close' to him, his wife before she passed away

Leo Martinez had a good relationship with Cherie Gil even after their relationship ended and before the actress passed away.

On Wednesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Leo said that Cherie was also very close to his wife, Gina Valenciano

"Close na close kami. Even Gina and Cherie are close," he said.

"Tsaka 'yung mga anak ko, they grew up na magkakapatid sila," Leo continued.

He said that whenever he's asked how many kids he has, he will say 2-1-3.

"Dalawa sa una, isa kay Cherie, [tatlo kay Gina]," he said. "Kasi makasalanan na nga ako. Ayoko nang dagdagan 'yon, maging hipokrito pa."

Cherie passed away in August 2022 after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer the year before.

The veteran actress was known for her long and multi-awarded acting career and memorable characters in over 100 films, television shows, and theater plays.
