Pokwang alleges Lee O’ Brian was violent with her
Pokwang has alleged her ex-partner Lee O’ Brian was violent with her.
In an interview on Ogie Diaz's vlog, the Kapuso comedienne opened up about her relationship with O’ Brian and looked back at the events that led to their separation.
“Binuhasan niya ako ng tubig. I was six months pregnant kay Malia,” Pokwang recalled, adding the incident stemmed after she confronted O’ Brian for consistently liking the posts of an “almost naked” woman on Instagram.
“Tinignan ko ‘yung account ng babae sa Instagram at 'oh my God!' Sa araw-araw na ginawa ng Diyos na halos nakahubad na ‘yong babae, lagi siyang naka-like,” Pokwang shared.
“Sabi ko ‘bakit niya nila-like ‘to araw-araw?’ Nakakaloka! Wala siyang pinalampas na pose ng babae. Disrespectful ‘yung ganon sa partner mo,” she added.
It was when Pokwang asked O’ Brian about the woman that led to his aggressive behavior towards her.
“Natutulog ako ng hapon, pumasok siya sa kwarto at binuhusan ako ng tubig. Basang-basa ‘yong kama. Pinagmumura ako. Tapos dinuro-duro niya ako habang nakahiga sa kama,” she said, adding that O’ Brian also cursed her.
After their fight, Pokwang left their house and stayed in a hotel for three days and only went home when her daughter Mae started to look for her.
She also revealed that she almost suffered miscarriage due to stress.
Despite what happened, Pokwang hid what happened between her and O’ Brian in the hopes of saving their relationship.
“Kasi nga gusto ko pang maisalba pa sana. Kahit papaano sana maisalba pa para ‘dun sa bata,” she said. “Tina-try kong maayos kami. Tina-try ko pang maisalba para kay Malia. Ako na lang pala ‘yung nag-eeffort.”
Pokwang also revealed that once O’Brian returns to the Philippines, she will file a case against him, citing Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).
Pokwang and O’ Brian split in 2021. In 2022, the comedienne defended Lee against third party rumors and said they were “okay na okay kasi maganda iyong pagkakatapos.”
However, Pokwang said in a 2023 interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that she had to lie because she was hoping they could perhaps save their relationship.
In December, Pokwang won the deportation case she filed against Lee.
Despite this, Pokwang still allows Malia to see and bond with her father.
