Priscilla Meirelles 'shocked and disheartened' by John Estrada’s statement: 'We remain married'
Priscilla Meirelles took to Instagram Stories to say that she is “deeply shocked and disheartened” by the public statement recently made by her husband, John Estrada.
The Miss Earth 2004 queen said that there was never any "mutual agreement" regarding their separation.
"We were married when I left the Philippines and we remain married as of this time," she said.
"While there is indeed more to this story, it is not the appropriate time to delve into those details. Regardless of what those may be, however, it won't change the course of faith," she added.
Priscilla said that she is thankful for the support, kindness, and love she has been constantly receiving during this difficult period.
“I trust that, in due course, all will be resolved appropriately. Thank you for your understanding,” she said.
Priscilla’s post comes after John's Instagram Story on Tuesday which said, “Priscilla and I have mutually agreed to take a break for quite some time now."
John also cleared the name of Lily Hallman, whom Priscilla named as the woman in his controversial Boracay post.
“Looking very divorced, Mr. Estrada,” Priscilla also said.
According to John, he's not in a relationship with Lily "or any other woman for that matter."
The actor also slammed fake news peddlers who made online posts using his name.
In a previous interview on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Priscilla opened up on the state of her marriage with John and the issues they faced last year.
"Ang situation right now, of course we're married pa rin, and we're laughing yesterday and we're having a great time. But I'm not gonna take anything that I already took up to this point," she said.
"So alam niya nasa limit na ‘ko. So whatever happens from this point on, it's on him. I've done my part," she added.
