Michelle Dee on attending Binibining Pilipinas with mom Melanie Marquez: ‘A proud daughter moment’

Michelle Dee was one happy daughter as she attended the 60th Binibining Pilipinas pageant with her mother, Melanie Marquez.  

The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 queen and Kapuso actress shared Instagram photos from their night together, where they met and mingled with their fellow beauty queens.

According to Michelle, being with Melanie was “A proud daughter moment.”

She added that they had gone full circle because this time, it was Michelle who supported her mom.

“For me it wasn’t just a night where legacies were celebrated but a full circle moment for a daughter who always dreamed to cheer her mom on live!” Michelle said.

The 60th Binibining Pilipinas coronation night honored Filipina beauty queens who made history, including Melanie who won Miss International 1979.

Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared a powerful moment on stage.

 Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, and many more, were also honored.

Myrna Esguerra of Abra was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2024, while Jasmin Bungay of Pampanga was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2024.
