Iris Lee to Xian Lim: 'Ang saya lang gumawa ng pelikula with you'
After Xian Lim wrote an appreciation post for Iris Lee on Instagram, his producer-girlfriend responded with equal admiration to the actor.
Thanking Xian for his words and congratulating the whole team, Iris said "nailuwal nating lahat ang baby mo because of your infectious creative energy and childlike enthusiasm."
According to Iris, making films with Xian is a joyful experience. "You are a true leader and artist," she wrote before encouraging him to "Keep on shining."
Iris ended her comment with a toast of sorts, "To more magic together," she said.
On Instagram Thursday, Xian made sure to post a tribute to Iris saying "hardworking is an understatement when it comes to the effort you put in all your projects, may it be with me or all the great directors you have worked with."
“Our [movie] would not be the way it is now if it weren't for you juggling the logistics in the [Philippines] and [Thailand] plus the creative side of Kumanthong,” Xian said.
The two are behind the horror movie Kumanthong, currently showing in theaters. Xian directed it while Iris played a creative consultant. The partners share the bill for writing duties.
Starring Cindy Miranda, Althea Ruedas, Max Nattapol, Jariya Therakaosal, and Emman Esquivel, "Kuman Thong" is about a mother of two who loses a son in a tragedy. She enlists the help of a Kuman Thong statue to help bring her son back from the dead.
In Thai folk religion, a Kuman Thong, or Black Magic Baby, is believed to bring luck to its owner. The film was shot entirely in Thailand.
The two have been public with their relationship after Xian confirmed in a magazine interview that he is dating Iris back in May.
Xian most recently starred in the GMA Primetime Series "Love. Die. Repeat" and in the sexy thriller film, "Playtime."
