Jean Garcia on singlehood: ‘I am happy because I love myself’

Jean Garcia is currently “very much” single, and she’s OK with it.

On Thursday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the actress said she doesn’t really miss being in love because she’s happy with her life.

“Parang mas masaya akong mag-isa. Mag-isa na kasama ang mga anak ko at tsaka mas kuntento ako, wala akong inaalagaan, wala akong problema,” she said.

Jean continued, “Hindi ko alam kung nakasanayan na lang, Kuya Boy, or siguro mas tinanggap ko na lang kasi ayoko na ulit masaktan. At tsaka hindi na ako ‘yung sa 'hindi ako ready' or 'I’ll find the right person.' Hindi na ‘yung 'kung darating, darating, pero kung hindi, it’s OK' because I am happy.”

According to the "Widows' War" actress, she's happy with the people around her, including her trusted friends, family, and children, — and her grandchildren. At the interview, Jean proudly shared she is a grandmother to two kids.

“Masaya na ako at sa trabaho ko,” she said. “I am happy because I love myself.

Jean has two kids, Jennica and Kotaro.

Jean stars as Aurora Palacios on "Widows' War,"  the mother of Rafael Rosell's character. .
