Camille Prats, Suzi Entrata-Abrera weigh in on divorce

Camille Prats and Suzi Entrata-Abrera weighed in on the question of approving divorce in the Philippines.

On Tuesday's episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, the former "Mars" hosts shared their different perspectives when it comes to divorce.

Suzie believes that if the Philippines don't want to legalize divorce, any form of abuse can be criminalized instead.

"Criminalize abuse. If that is the reason why you guys are together, tapos di ka makawala kasi walang divorce," the TV host said.

"All forms. Kasi usually physical lang eh. Pero hindi, pati mental, emotional," she added.

Meanwhile, Camille said she is personally do not want divorce as she believes that the children will suffer more.

"Parang ngayon kasi kapag ka laging ganon 'yong pag-isip natin sa mag-asawa na that's always an option, then whoever we find in life, 'di naman perpekto 'yong tao na 'yon eh," she said, adding that divorce also has to be "mutual."

"Kasi iba rin naman kapag babae lang ang nakikipaglaban pero ayaw naman ng asawa mo. That's an entirely different story."

In May, the House of Representatives already approved the final reading of the proposed measure on absolute divorce.

Camille married her husband VJ Yambao in 2017. They welcomed their daughter Nala in the same year and their son, Nolan, in 2019.

She has another son named Nathaniel with her late husband, Anthony Linsangan. Meanwhile, VJ has another son named Ice. The couple is proud of their blended family.

Meanwhile, Suzi has been married to actor Paolo Abrera since 2001. They have three daughters named Leona, Jade, and Antonella.
