Vice Ganda turns emotional over Ryan Bang's engagement: 'Ako 'yung una niyang sinabihan'
It was Vice Ganda who first found out about Ryan Bang’s plan to propose to Paola Huyong.
On Saturday’s episode of “It’s Showtime,” Vice teared up when Ryan approached her and gave her a hug.
Wala lang, I’m just so proud,” Vice said.
Vice said she was greatly touched that Ryan first shared his plan with her.
“Nakaka-touch kasi ako ‘yung una niyang sinabihan. Sabi niya, ‘Wala akong ibang pinagsabihan, kahit nanay at tatay ko. Sa ‘yo ako nagpaalam,’” Vice said. “Wala akong kakaba-kaba.
Ryan told her, “Mommy, thank you. You allowed me [to] propose kay Paola at thank you pinalaki mo akong sobrang buti. Maraming maraming salamat. I love you so much."
Ryan proposed to Paola at a café in Quezon City.
He went public with his relationship with Paola in 2023. He called her “The One” and “my forever Filipina.”
Recently, Paola’s family met Ryan’s parents in South Korea.
Aside from hosting “It’s Showtime,” Ryan memorably hosted the Asia Artist Awards in 2023 and Kim Seon Ho’s fan meeting last April. He also appeared in an episode of “Bubble Gang.”
“It’s Showtime” made an epic debut on GMA-7 on April 6 and had several trending moments. The noontime show is also aired on GMA Network’s GTV. —Carby Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
