Rafael Rosell reveals he is already married to Valerie Gomez Chia

Rafael Rosell revealed that he officially became a married man in 2020.

On Thursday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the actor said that he and Valerie Gomez Chia tied the knot during the peak of COVID-19 pandemic.

"We signed the papers just between us noong April 20, 2020. Very quiet and that's our favorite number talaga," Rafael said.

"It was on the onset of COVID-19. We wanted 4-20-2020 since that's a special date, a special number for us. Nagkataon lang talaga na nagka-COVID-19 at pandemic nung time na 'yon but we decided to still push through [with the ceremony]."

According to Rafael, their invitations were still on until mid-April, but they finally cancelled the event due to the lockdowns.

"Hindi na namin tinuloy 'yung ceremony, but the signing of the papers, tinuloy namin," he said.

The married couple is still planning to hold a ceremony.

"Na-realize din namin na 'yung ceremony is for everyone. Eh for us, we're happy the way it is talaga. So I think we owe them pakain," he said.

In the same interview, Rafael talked about his "weird" dynamic with Valerie, saying that they don't exchange I love yous often.

"We have a different dynamic. Sinabi ko kasi dati na parang it used to be so easy for me to just bitawan 'yung I love you na three words sa mga partners ko, pero dito sa relationship ngayon, parang ang hirap sabihin 'yung totoong nararamdaman mo. When you feel something so intense, ang hirap pala sabihin sa totoong buhay kasi totoong totoo eh," he said.

Rafael continued, "So between us, we don't usually just say I love you, it's parang alam ko na eh without her saying it."

On his social media account, Rafael often uses specific hashtags on their photos and videos together, including #HasselKa and #LecheKa.

"When I realized I was in love with her, it was like 'Oh no. Guys, I think I'm in love. This is gonna be [a] hassle.' Alam ko na isa-sacrifice ko 'yung kaligayahan ko para sa kaniya. 'Yung mga kagustuhan ko, alam ko na mas ibibigay ko sa kaniya, so mas hassle talaga," he said.

"She got my heart eh. Love is such a difficult force to fight against."

Rafael is set to star in "Widows' War" with Bea Alonzo and Carla Abellana.

Directed by Zig Dulay, the project also stars Tonton Gutierrez, Jean Garcia, Rita Daniela, Jeric Gonzales, Benjamin Alves, Juancho Triviño, Jackie Lou Blanco, James Graham, and more.

It is a spinoff of the popular murder-mystery series "Royal Blood" and "Widow's Web."

"Widows' War" will begin airing on July 1 at 8:50 p.m.
