Doug Kramer turns sentimental on Kendra's 15th birthday: 'It really is so bittersweet'
Doug Kramer couldn’t help but get sentimental as his eldest child, Kendra, turned 15 years old.
The celebrity father and basketball player shared an Instagram Reel with clips of Kendra from when she was a toddler up until the present day.
“I'm not crying, you're crying!" he wrote in his caption. "Happy 15[th birthday] to my not so little anymore, Kendra.”
Doug added that whenever their kids celebrate their birthdays, “it really is so bittersweet” to see “how every moment in the video seemed like it was just yesterday.
“But reality is, our kids grow up so fast, and it teaches us parents to seize every moment with them,” he said. “To listen intently when they talk to us, to check on them every single day and simply ask how your day went. To look them straight in their eyes when conversing, to show how they're the most important.”
To end his post, Doug dedicated a message to Kendra.
“A girl so pure, charming, intellectual and so studious, funny, God-fearing, hard-working, respectful and loved by all that encounter her,” he said.
“Here's to a very special birthday greeting to my baby girl forever, my Kennykins! Happy 15th birthday! Papa loves you so much!” he added.
Kendra had an early birthday celebration, where she and Doug shared a special father-daughter dance. She was also a stunner in her birthday photoshoot.
Kendra and Doug have a close relationship, with Kendra writing on Instagram that the athlete is “the best dad” and her inspiration.
The pair has been spotted attending high-fashion events and touring the Pixar Headquarters in California.
Doug has been married to Chesca Garcia since 2008. Kendra is their eldest daughter and they have two more kids: Scarlett and Gavin.
