Klea Pineda attends Pride March 2024 with GF Katrice Kierulf: 'It was really comforting to share that safe space'

Klea Pineda is still filled with love after Love Laban 2 Everyone, or the Pride PH Festival in Quezon City, despite it being “such a bittersweet experience.”

It was the Kapuso actress’ third time attending Pride March. This year, she attended with her girlfriend, Katrice Kierulf.

Klea shared some of their sweet moments from the event in an Instagram Reel.

“[Katrice] and I were still overwhelmed by the number of people who were there to show their love and support for the community. It was really comforting to share that safe space with people who genuinely accepts you for who you are,” Klea said in her caption.

“Masaya maging malaya lalo na’t alam mong marami kang kakampi at iisa ang inyong ipinaglalaban - Karapatan, Kalayaan, Kasiyahan, Pagkakaisa, at Pagkakapantay-pantay,” she added.

Klea then greeted everybody a Happy Pride.

“Happy Pride to those who came out, to those who can’t, to those who haven’t, and to those who are still figuring things out!”

Love Laban 2 Everyone or the Pride PH Festival was held on June 22, Saturday at the Quezon City Memorial Circle. The event and protest saw more than 200,000 attendees.

However, the event was canceled later that evening due to the strong rains and “compromised sound and electrical systems” for the concert.

Vice Ganda, BINI, Juan Karlos, Ben&Ben, Gloc-9, Denise Julia, Filipino drag artists, and many more were set to perform.

Meanwhile, Klea bravely came out as gay on her 24th birthday in March 2023. For Preview Magazine’s Pride Month issue this 2024, she opened up on her sexuality and felt grateful for having a platform for queer representation.

Klea met Katrice through TikTok and publicly introduced her on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
