Ruffa Gutierrez reveals relationship with Herbert Bautista

Ruffa Gutierrez and Herbert Bautista are together.

The actress confirmed her relationship with the actor-politician in an interview on Karen Davila’s YouTube Channel, saying they've actually been together for four years. 

Lorin and Venice Bektas were with Ruffa during the interview, and it was the girls who shared Ruffa and Herbert's love story. They reconnected while working on the series “The House Arrest of Us” in 2020, Venice said.

The girls were actually part of her first date with the actor and former Quezon City Mayor, where they had dinner around Christmastime.

“Very proper. Sinundo kami sa bahay tapos sinama ‘yung mga anak ko. Sabi niya, ‘I wanna meet them.’ And to make sure that they’re okay with him and everyone is comfortable,” Ruffa said.

Lorin and Venice said like Herbert because he’s very funny, and they love seeing their mom happy and in love.

“Honestly, just seeing our mom with him, she was just so happy,” Venice said, with Lorin adding Ruffa turns into a teenager when she talks about him.

Lorin added, “I do think that the tell-tale sign that this is like a real and very strong connection is that he helped her get back into school and he really encouraged that for her.”

Ruffa earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Arts at the Philippine Women's University in 2022 at the age of 48 and is now pursuing her masters in Communication.

Asked if it was serious, the actress and former beauty queen said, “I never go into a relationship that’s not serious. I’m always the serious type.”

According to Ruffa, she now prefers a quiet personal life because “it just leads to more happiness.”

Ruffa also said that should she ever get married again, her daughters want to be bridesmaids.

Ruffa was previously married to Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas.

After separating in 2007, Ruffa and Yilmaz were granted an annulment. Ruffa has since been a single mom to her daughters.
