Janno Gibbs remembers late dad Ronaldo Valdez on Father's Day
Janno Gibbs took to social media to remember his late father, Ronaldo Valdez, on his first Father's Day without the veteran actor.
On Instagram, Janno posted a candid shot of the two of them talking while holding cups of coffee.
"Missing our conversations," Janno said. "Happy Father's Day, Papa. Luv u."
Valdez died in December last year. He was 76.
Since then, Janno has been posting about Valdez, taking the public along with his grief and his healing.
Before the actor passed, the father and son duo worked together on "Itutumba ka ng Tatay Ko," which marked Janno's directorial debut.
In a previous interview with "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," Janno said that they still pushed through with releasing the film a month after his dad's death because it was "the perfect time to show it para mabura 'yung last horrible image of him."
"Sabi ko nga this is the best parting gift he can ever give me. Supporting his son's dream. It was very special kasi first time ko mag direct, daddy ko pa. You know, an award-winning actor. So I had this very nice memory of him," he said.
