Cong TV, Viy Cortez hold ‘pamamanhikan’ with families
Cong TV and Viy Cortez have ticked-off “pamamanhikan,” a Filipino pre-wedding tradition, from their to-do list.
On Instagram, soon-to-wed Viy and Cong matched in white outfits, together with their son Kidlat.
In the next slides, she also shared a bigger group photo with their respective families.
“Ang pamamanhikan,” Viy said in the caption.
“Salamat mahal hindi lang apelyido mo ang ibibigay mo sa 'kin. Pati pangalawang pamilya,” she added.
“Pamamanhikan” is a Filipino tradition where the groom and his family formally ask the bride's family for her hand in marriage.
The long-time couple shared several prenup photos in previous months.
Cong and Viy announced they were engaged back in November 2022.
In 2021, the two announced they were expecting their first child, then later revealed they were having a baby boy. They welcomed Zeus Emmanuel "Kidlat" Velasquez in July 2022.
