Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon's wedding video shows everyone in tears

Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon could not help but cry as they looked back on their relationship and professed their love for one another during their wedding vows.

In their wedding video posted by Charlie and videography company Notion in Motion, Carlo started his vows with a moving message for his bride.

“April, mahal ko, ngayong araw na ‘to, gusto kong magpasalamat sa ‘yo sa tapang mo kasi pumayag kang maging Mrs. Aquino,” he said. Charlie’s real name is April Rose Dizon Matienzo.

The award-winning actor also thanked the Lord for not failing him after he prayed for peace, which came in the form of Charlie.

Charlie then looked back on their relationship.

“Alam kong hindi naging madali ‘yung journey natin as a couple but I’m proud na nandito na tayo ngayon. I’m proud of everyone who loves us genuinely,” she said through tears.

Carlos turned emotional as he made his vows for Charlie.

“Kapag may mga araw na hindi na pantay ang pagmamahal nating dalawa, hindi ko pa rin makakalimutan na mahalin ang pagkatao mo at ingatan ang puso mo. Simula sa araw na ‘to, hindi ka na magiisa.”

“Palagi ka nang may kasangga," he added. Andito lang ako palagi sa likod mo, sa harapan mo, at bibigyan ka ng kumpyansa. Isa kang biyaya sa buhay ko, mahal. I love you."

The video also showed Carlo and Charlie’s first kiss as husband and wife, and sweet moments from their wedding ceremony.

Carlo and Charlie got married on June 9 at a private resort in Silang, Cavite. The ceremony was attended by ABS-CBN executives: President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Board of Directors member Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN’s Head of TV Production and Star Magic Head Direk Lauren Dyogi.

Some of the country’s top actors such as Belle Mariano, Sue Ramirez, Ketchup Eusebio, Maricel Soriano, and Vilma Santos-Recto were also present.

The couple was rumored to be engaged in February after Charlie was spotted with a ring. Days before the wedding, they posted photos of what looked like a prenuptial shoot.

Carlo and Charlie worked together in the film “Third World Romance.” Just last Saturday, the film earned four Gawad Urian awards, including Best Actress for Charlie.
