Andi Eigenmann recalls first meeting with Philmar Alipayo: 'Nagpa-picture lang ako'

Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo started their relationship with a meet-cute first meeting.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the former actress shared the cute story of how they first crossed paths.

According to Andi, she and Philmar first met in a surfing competition in Siargao.

"Nagpa-picture lang ako," she recalled.

Philmar, who didn't know who Andi was at the time, agreed to the photo op and offered her some drinks during the after party celebration.

"Nagpa-picture siya. Tapos nag-shot kami. Umalis na rin [ako] kasi hindi ko siya kilala eh," the professional surfer said, laughing.

Soon after, their meet-cute moment blossomed into a relationship and the couple got engaged in 2020. They have two children named Lilo and Koa. Their family, called the Happy Islanders, is based in Siargao.

In the same interview, Philmar addressed the viral video where he was seen hanging out with a woman.

He also revealed that he wrote a letter to the late Jaclyn Jose to ask for Andi's hand in marriage. 

They had planned to get married this year and Jaclyn was supposed to travel to Siargao for the wedding.

With Jaclyn's death last March due to a heart attack, the couple decided to postpone the ceremony.
