Philmar Alipayo wrote letter to Jaclyn Jose to ask for Andi Eigenmann's hand in marriage

Philmar Alipayo recalled the time when he asked the late Jaclyn Jose for permission to marry her daughter, Andi Eigenmann.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Philmar and Andi sat down with the King of Talk and spoke about their relationship.

The couple got engaged in December 2020, and apparently, Philmar asked Jaclyn for Andi's hand in marriage through a letter.

"Sinabi ko na s'yempre sobrang mahal na mahal ko si Andi alam kong mahal na mahal mo rin," he said. "Promise na aalagaan ko siya, si Ellie na rin. Kung gaano ko siya kamahal ganun din pagmamahal ko kay Ellie."

Andi previously said Philmar's relationship with Ellie, her daughter with ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito, is one of the reasons she agreed to marry him.

Philmar also said he had a good relationship with Jaclyn before she passed away. The professional surfer previously shared the last message he received from the actress before her death, telling him to take care of Andi and her grandchildren.

Andi and Philmar have two children together, Lilo and Koa. They had planned to get married this year and Jaclyn was supposed to travel to Siargao for the wedding.

With Jaclyn's death last March due to a heart attack, the couple decided to postpone the ceremony.
