Jaclyn Jose supposed to travel to Siargao this year for Andi Eigenmann, Philmar Alipayo's wedding
Andi Eigenmann revealed that her late mom Jaclyn Jose was supposed to go to Siargao this year for her wedding with Philmar Alipayo.
In an episode of "My Mother, My Story" on Sunday, June 9, the former actress opened up about her mother's death and the events she will miss with her passing.
"Ang dami kong inaasahang pangyayari ngayong taon na ito that involves her. Kasi after all ang pagpapakasal namin ni Philmar it's also mostly more for her," Andi said.
"Kasi kami ni Philmar kahit hindi kami magpakasal, asawa ko na 'yan. Asawa na namin ang isa't isa. Para sa akin 'yon ang mahalaga. Pero alam ko na magiging masaya si Nanay kapag nagpakasal kami," she added. "Hindi puwedeng parang kasal ko tapos guest lang siya. No. 'Di ba. She's the most important guest at that wedding,"
When asked about the wedding with Philmar this year, the actress answered that it will be postponed for a while to give way to her mom's passing.
"Hindi puwede eh. Ayaw naman namin gawin this year. Yes, of course, we are still gonna get married," she said.
Andi then shared how hard it is to get married without both of her parents Jaclyn and Mark Gil, and her late aunt Cherie Gil.
"You know it's just a bit sad because that's how big of a milestone in anybody's life to get married. My dad is not around, and my mom, and Tita Cherie. So parang ang hirap isipin para sa akin 'yon kasi ito 'yong mga importanteng tao sa buhay ko. Unti-unti silang nawala. Tapos akala ko nandyan lang sila. Akala ko may oras," she said.
Looking back on her past conversation with her mom, Andi said that she knew Jaclyn would enjoy Siargao, and regretted that she was not able to bring her to the island.
Jaclyn, born Mary Jane Guck, died on March 2 at 60 years old. Andi revealed that she died due to a heart attack.
Andi and Philmar got engaged in 2020. They have two children together, Lilo and Koa.
Andi's eldest child, Ellie, is her daughter with ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito.
