Maja Salvador shares 'intense' childbirth story: 'Ubos na ubos na lakas ko'

Maja Salvador has been nothing but delighted to welcome her little bundle of joy, Baby Maria, but the actual childbirth was anything but easy,

On Instagram, the actress and host detailed her "intense" 30-hour labor on May 31 in Canada — "2 hours without epidural, three hours of pushing."

"Then ended up having episiotomy and forceps," she wrote. "2 contractions and 7 pushes later, we finally welcomed our baby Maria."

Maja was able to have 10 minutes of skin-to-skin contact with her baby girl, but immediately underwent an emergency — she had uterine inversion, so the doctors took Baby Maria and gave it to her husband, Rambo Nunez.

"[Three] OB GYN were there trying to put back my uterus manually which led to blood loss of 3 to 4 liters, then my blood pressure went down to 60/40, sinabihan na lang ako ng Doula ko na anytime I would have to go to the operating room for surgery," Maja said

"That time sabi ko nalang sa sarili ko na I can’t do anything anymore... ubos na ubos na lakas ko... I started praying Hail Mary... paulit ulit kahit wala na akong lakas. And miraculously, after their last attempt, one of the OB GYN succeeded in repositioning my uterus. AMEN!!!!" she added.

Despite the "challenging journey," Maja has nothing but gratitude, "especially to the Filipino nurses who provided unwavering care and support."

Maja said that she's recovering now, and lucky to have her family with her in Canada.

"To My Husband, I LOVE YOU," she wrote. "To My Maria, EVERYTHING IS WORTH IT! I LOVE YOU ANAK."

Maja announced that she gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named Maria, on May 31. Rambo took to social media to express his appreciation for his wife following the birth.

Their tiny family left the hospital on June 5.

Earlier in May, Maja celebrated Mother's Day 37 weeks pregnant. Rambo surprised her with a pot filled with pink and white roses.
