Bobby Andrews is grateful for how his wife understood his love team with Angelu De Leon

Bobby Andrews revealed that he met his wife, Bienne Co, in the middle of "TGIS," back when he was paired with Angelu De Leon.

On Tuesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Bobby said that he is thankful that Bienne understood his love team's setup.

"When I met Bienne, the love team was there, so it was all givens. And I'm very grateful naman na she accepted me for who I was," he said.

"It was unfortunate na siyempre hindi kami puwedeng mag-date, hindi kami puwedeng makita sa labas. Naintindihan niya 'yon," he added.

Bobby said that he knew how difficult it must have been for Bienne, even if she didn't tell him.

But Bobby remained committed to their relationship, and he married her as soon as his love team with Angelu ended.

"Nung nasira 'yung love team, that was because Angelu got pregnant, so she had to leave the show, it was around that time also that I decided to get married," he said.

His manager warned him that if he got married, his career would be affected, which he said he didn't mind.

"Because for me, well, there was success and there's a monetary equivalent that goes with that success, correct? But for me, happiness, you can only find once. So I chose to get married and start a family," Bobby said. "At the back of my mind, if my career has to suffer because of this, so be it."

When asked if Bienne received love or bashing from his fans, Bobby said fans were actually supportive.

"Love, yes. Bashing, no," he said. "'Cause during that time, medyo tumultuous 'yung what's happening with Angelu, what happened to me. So all the fans actually were both supporting our respective decisions."

Bobby currently stars in GMA Afternoon Prime series "Lilet Matias: Attorney-At-Law," which airs weekdays at 3:20 p.m. after "Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap."
