Elijah Canlas to late brother JM Canlas: ‘You’re always in my mind and heart’

Elijah Canlas continues to remember his late brother JM, who passed away last year.

On his Instagram story, the award-winning actor shared an ID photo of his late brother along with a short but heartfelt message for him. 

“You’re always in my mind and heart, JM. wherever, whenever,” Elijah wrote.

JM was only 17 years old when he passed away in August 2023. His cause of death was not revealed, but his family said that struggled with his mental health.

On his death, Elijah wrote a eulogy saying, “You are far too beautiful for this world, JM. We do not deserve you. This world does not deserve you.”

JM is best known for appearing in the top films “Kiko Boksingero” and “ANi.” He was also a voice actor and was part of the Tagalog dub of “Coco,” “Stranger Things,” “Home Alone,” “Extraction,” “Little Einsteins,” and many more.
