‘It’s Showtime’ host Lassy mourns father’s death 

“It’s Showtime” host Lassy Marquez is mourning the passing of his father.

On his Instagram story, the comedian shared a photo which showed his hand holding his father’s hand along with a heartfelt message for him.

“Paalam dada ko. Mahal na mahal kita. Tatandaan ko mga huling habilin mo. Mahal na mahal kita (Goodbye, dad. I love you very much. I will remember you last wish. I love you),” he wrote. 

In a Facebook post, Lassy expressed his utmost love to his dad and vowed to keep their family together despite his passing.

“Maraming salamat sa memories at pagmamahal mo sa amin bilang isang ama. Hinding hindi kita malilimutan kahit kailan. Tatandaan ko ang mga huling habilin mo bago ka pumanaw,” he began, along with a photo of their last moment together. 

[Thank you for the memories and for your fatherly love. I will never forget you. I will remember you last wish before you left us.] 

“At ako na rin ang bahala sa pamilya natin lalo na kay mama. Kaya wag kang mag alala. At Gabayan mo lang kami lagi. Hanggang sa muli Dada ko. Mahal na mahal kita,” Lassy promised. 

[I will take care of our family, especially mama, so don't worry. Please guide us always. Until the next time, Dada. I love you very much.]

On Wednesday, May 15, Lassy took to his social media account to ask for healing prayers for his father. The comedian did not immediately disclose what condition he was suffering from.

Lassy whose real name is Reginald Marquez, currently hosts “It’s Showtime” that airs on GMA-7 and GTV.

Aside from his hosting gigs, he has starred in some blockbuster comedy films along Vice Ganda.
