Buboy Villar on recent get-together with ex-partner Angillyn Gorens: ‘Bonding with the kids lang talaga siya’
Buboy Villar and Angillyn Gorens are proof exes can be friends!
Last March, the former couple had a bonding moment with their kids and some friends, where Buboy even sang some sweet songs for Angillyn.
According to Buboy, the get-together is part of the agreement they decided upon as parents.
“Bilang nanay siya ng mga anak ko, tatay ako ng mga anak namin, so napagkasunduan namin na no hate to each other. Dapat love lang,” he told GMA News Online.
[Since she is the mother of my kids, and I'm the father of our kids, we decided there will be no hate to each other. Just love.]Buboy continued, “Lalo na sa panahon ngayon ‘no? Ang init-init na nga ng panahon, bibigyan pa ba natin ng negative vibes? Wala lang po ‘yun, ano po ‘yun, parang bonding with the kids lang talaga siya.”
[Specially these days. It's already so hot — we can do away with negative vibes. That get-together is nothing. It was just bonding with the kids.]Buboy said Angillyn is based in the United States, so she rarely gets to be with their kids. “So sinulit lang namin ‘yung time talaga with the kids kasi siyempre hindi naman niya nakikita talaga ‘yung mga anak namin kasi naka-base siya sa US. Talagang ‘yung mga ganoong moment, ‘di na dapat pinagdadamot pa,” he said.
[We maximized the time with the kids because she also doesn't get to see her children because she is based in the US. She shouldn't be deprived of moments like those.]
On fans who felt kilig after seeing their bonding moment, the Sparkle star said, “Well, masaya talagang kiligin. Masaya talaga ang feeling ng in love talaga pero salamat sa pag-intindi (Kilig feels good, right? Being in love is a good feeling, but thank you for understanding.)”
Buboy and Angillyn were together for several years and even got engaged in 2016 before Buboy confirmed their split in 2020. They remain friends following their breakup.
The couple had two children, Vlanz Karollyn and George Michael.
Buboy is among the cast of "Running Man Philippines,” which is set to air its second season starting May 11 and 12 at 7:15 p.m.
