Ysabel Ortega's mom Michelle admits terrorizing her suitors: 'Layuan mo ang anak ko'

Ysabel Ortega's mom Michelle surely knows how to scare off her daughter's suitors.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Michelle revealed how strict a mom she is, especially when it comes to Ysabel's love life.

"Yung mga dati kasing nanliligaw sa kaniya, tine-terrorize ko," the actress and singer said.

"'Layuan mo ang anak ko, bawal pa siya mag-boyfriend, bawal pa siya ligawan.' Ganon po ako ka-strikto talaga," Michelle added.

Ysabel said her mom would actually say those words to her suitors to their faces.

When it came to Miguel Tanfelix, however, Michelle did not say those words anymore. Ysabel and Miguel are currently exclusively dating.

Nevertheless, Michelle is still strict with Ysabel and Miguel.

"Bawal umuwi ng after sunset, 'yun 'yung isa mga first few rules niya lalo na nung bago palang siyang nangliligaw sa kin," Ysabel said. "Ginawa po akong bampira ng nanay ko."

When Tito Boy commented that it seemed too early, Michelle said it was because their courtship was just beginning.

"S'yempre Tito Boy babae 'yung anak ko eh 'di ba, tapos kabago-bago lang aakyat ng ligaw, alangan namang iuwi niya 'yung anak ko ng alas onse ng gabi," Michelle said. "S'yempre bago palang, 'Ay lunch lang muna kayo.'"

In the same interview, the celebrity mom shared her first impression of Miguel upon meeting him for the first time.

"Mukha namang mabait 'tong batang to. Nagpo-po naman siya," she said.

Ysabel and Miguel recently starred in "Firefly," a coming-of-age road trip drama film about a young boy who searches for the mythical island described in his mother's bedtime stories.

Directed by Zig Dulay, it was hailed as the Best Picture at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 and the Manila International Film Festival 2024. The film is currently streaming on Prime Video.

Ysabel and Miguel also starred in "Voltes V: Legacy," which returned on air on GMA Afternoon Prime weekdays at 4:05 p.m. after "Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law."
