Ysabel Ortega's mom on meeting Miguel Tanfelix for the first time: 'Mukha namang mabait tong batang 'to'

Ysabel Ortega's mom, Michelle, is a self-confessed strict parent. So how did she react when she met Miguel Tanfelix, whom her daughter is currently exclusively dating, for the first time?

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Ysabel said her mom first met Miguel at her birthday party in La Union with the rest of the the cast members of "Voltes V: Legacy."

At that time, she and Miguel were just friends.

"Mukha namang mabait 'tong batang to. Nagpo-po naman siya," Michelle said about her impression of Miguel.

Upon meeting Miguel, Michelle felt that the Kapuso actor and her daughter liked one another.

"Parang feeling ko parang may gusto 'to sa anak ko. Tapos ako naman din feeling ko parang gusto rin 'to ng anak ko!" she said.

Meanwhile, Ysabel's dad, Senator Lito Lapid, gave Miguel some advice when he met the Sparkle actor last December.

Other than that, he did not say much, according to Ysabel.

"Parang ang sinabi lang ng papa ko is, 'Alam na ba ng nanay mo?' Nung sinabi ko na opo, naging chill na siya kasi alam niya na si Mama ang pulis sa kanilang dalawa," the Sparkle actress said.

Ysabel and Miguel recently starred in "Voltes V: Legacy," which has returned on air on GMA Afternoon Prime at 4:05 p.m. after "Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law."

The pair also starred in "Firefly," a coming-of-age road trip drama about a young boy who searches for the mythical island described in his mother's bedtime stories.

Directed by Zig Dulay, it was hailed as the Best Picture at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 and the Manila International Film Festival 2024. The film is currently streaming on Prime Video.
