Andi Eigenmann writes moving poem about Jaclyn Jose: 'She told me I could be anything'
Andi Eigenmann wrote a moving new poem in honor of her late mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose.
On Instagram, Andi posted a throwback photo with Jaclyn where they posed in front of the ocean.
The Siargao-based former actress wrote about how Jaclyn motivates her, and how her mother’s love and light is a form of guidance.
"She built me up like a mountain at sunrise and painted my sky with gentle hands. And when she told me
I could be anything, I believed her because I saw how much I could grow with even a little of her light.”
Andi previously penned a Tagalog poem for Jaclyn, saying she will forever treasure their memories.
"Sa ngayon diringgin ko muna ang iyong mga awit," Andi wrote. “Nasa paraiso ka na, Nanay. Pahinga ka na.”
Born Mary Jane Guck, Jaclyn died on March 2 at 60 years old. Andi revealed in a press conference that she died due to a heart attack.
The Eigenmann family, celebrities, and industry colleagues are mourning the award-winning actress and have paid tribute to her on social media.
Among the stars who gathered at Jaclyn’s wake include Jake Ejercito, Dingdong Dantes, Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, Andrea Torres, Gina Alajar, Gladys Reyes, Dominic Zapata, Ina Feleo, and many more.
