Heart Evangelista holds back tears as she recalls 'hinanakit' with Chiz Escudero's 'tough love' style

Heart Evangelista and husband Senator Chiz Escudero gave a very insightful two-part interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda." 

The first part aired on Thursday, and saw the couple open up about their marriage, their recent renewal of vows, their rough patch of 2022, and the kids.

When the couple began talked about Chiz's tough love style, Heart couldn't help but turn emotional.

"He was very tough love," Heart began referring to her husband. "I had to learn certain things in the real world outside of family."

Chiz admitted his style, saying "I was telling her, kailangan matutunan mo 'to, paano kung wala na ko. Palaging ganun."

The senator recalled how one time, Heart responded, "yun na nga yung point. Andito ka pa, ba't ganyan na? Pagdating na lang nung panahon."

"'Yun 'yung hinanakit ko dati," Heart replied.

According to Heart, her husband was teaching her how to live along at a time when she was already feeling so lonely.

"Because you're so tough," she tells him, holding back tears. "And afraid that one day if he passes and I'm left behind, then I'll be alone. But I feel so lonely already now. So now na andito ka, 'wag mo na muna masyado patikim sa'kin na mag-isa lang ako."

"Alam ko namang darating yon," Heart said, adding she knew he was only "trying to build my character."

In the interview, Heart spoke about their rough patch, and turned candid with silly new details of her early days as a stepmom.
