Aubrey Miles, Troy Montero recall how Kris Aquino became their cupid

Did you know that Kris Aquino was the cupid who helped Troy Montero approach his showbiz crush and now wife, Aubrey Miles?

On Tuesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the couple said Kris gave Aubrey's number to Troy.

Troy was the guest on the morning show Kris and Boy hosted at the time, and he was asked who was his showbiz crush, so Troy mentioned Aubrey's name. Right then and there, Kris rang Aubrey.

"Tumawag siya on-air, live. Sabi niya, 'Can I give your number?' Ta's sabi ko, 'Yeah, sure,'" Aubrey said.

Aubrey was just next door, preparing for her guest appearance on the next show and watching Troy's interview.

After the show, Troy decided to shoot his shot with Aubrey.

"After n'yo, kami na next. 'Di pa ako tapos mag-makeup, dumaan siya ng dressing room," Aubrey said.

Troy added, "Siyempre, I had to follow up kasi the ice has been broken 'di ba? So I went straight and I said hi, introduced myself."

Aubrey said that her eyebrow makeup was not yet done, so Troy had to wait outside before she saw him.

"You asked for a photo," Aubrey said. "'Di ko alam kung sure talagang gusto niyang magpa-photo, gusto lang na may purpose 'yung pagkatok niya," he said.

Troy said that they still have the photo they took using his assistant's camera.

"Tapos sabi niya, 'I'll message you.' Alam mo, pag-uwi ko pagkatapos ng show, may message agad ako," Aubrey said.

After 18 years together, the couple announced their engagement in March 2022.

In June of the same year, they tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony.

They have two children, Hunter and Rocket. Aubrey also has another son, John Maurie, with ex-boyfriend JP Obligacion.

Troy currently stars in "Lilet Matias: Attorney-At-Law" as Atty. Spanky Macaraig, while Aubrey is working on the upcoming adaptation of the hit K-drama "Shining Inheritance" with Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, Michael Sager, and Coney Reyes.
