Mika Salamanca, H2wo announce breakup

Mika Salamanca, H2wo announce breakup

Mika Salamanca and esports athlete John Paul "H2wo" Salonga have broken up.

The couple made the announcement themselves through a video on Instagram on Sunday, saying that the reason for their split is due to the lack of growth in their relationship.

"Lagi namin to sinasabi ni H2wo eh kahit sa ibang tao, na, 'Grabe, parang kahapon lang tayo naging mag-jowa. Walang nagbabago.' I feel like that's the crucial part ng relationship namin," Mika said.

"Kasi growth is uncomfortable. Bakit sobrang komportable namin? Bakit sobrang chill namin? Dun namin na realize na oh f--- we're not growing," she added.

H2wo agreed, saying they got too complacent in their relationship.

The couple also debunked rumors of cheating, saying that they will never do that to each other.

"All goods 'yung breakup namin, walang samaan ng loob," H2wo said.

Mika and H2wo also gave well-wishes to each other.

"Alam kong may matagal ka nang pinupusuan na career," the Mobile Legends player told Mika. "Susuportahan pa rin kita kahit anong mangyari."

Mika, who stars in weekly sitcom "Walang Matigas Na Pulis Sa Matinik Na Misis," told H2wo that she is praying for his happiness.

"'Pag nag-champion ka una ako sa papalakpak para sa 'yo. Lagi pa rin akong magpapasalamat kay Lord and kay Kuya Dogie na nakilala kita," she said.

The Sparkle artist also shared that the one thing she regrets on their relationship was how very open it was to the public.

"Maraming part ng relationship natin na it could've been better if it's like just the two of us," she told H2wo.

Nevertheless, Mika said they announced their separation through a video out of respect to everyone who had been watching their journey together.

"I feel like we owe it to the fans na gumawa ng video kasi buong relationship namin is very open, very public. Unfair siya kung hindi namin sasabihin 'yung totoo and hindi namin io-open and bibigyan ng maayos na closure 'yung mga fans," she said.
