Dennis Padilla overjoyed to receive message from estranged daughter Julia Barretto on his birthday

Dennis Padilla has received a message from his estranged daughter Julia Barretto on his 62nd birthday.

According to a report from PEP.ph, Dennis was spotted in a video by Senator Robin Padilla expressing his happiness after Julia reached out to him.

"Julia, thank you at nag-text ka sa akin nung birthday ko," Dennis said in the video.

The actor then invited the viewers to watch his daughter's movie with Aga Muhlach.

"'Yung movie ni Julia, palabas pa. Panoorin ninyo, kasama si Aga Muhlach, 'Ikaw Pa rin ang Pipiliin Ko,'" he said.

Dennis has been estranged to Julia, Leon, and Claudia, his children with ex-wife Marjorie Barretto, for several years now.

Julia previously said she was "traumatized" from her past relationship with dad Dennis.

Dennis, meanwhile, said that he is hoping for more chances to make his relationship better with his children.

Dennis and Marjorie officially separated in 2007 and according to Dennis, he is "the one to be blamed."

Dennis is currently with his Filipino-Australian partner Linda Gorton. They have two kids together, Gavin and Maddie.
