Heart Evangelista's mom on witnessing vow renewal with Chiz Escudero: 'Made it'
Heart Evangelista and her mother Cecilia Ongpauco shared touching moments during her vow renewal ceremony with Chiz Escudero.
On Instagram, the Global Fashion Icon shared a recap of the special day. As they were getting ready for Heart to walk down the aisle, Cecilia said she was very happy for her daughter.
“I’m so happy for her,” Cecilia said in a video by Bob Nicolas.“And I’m happier because I am around to witness this. Finally,” she added.
Later in the video, Cecilia said, “Finally, I’ve arrived,” Cecilia said later in the video.
Heart answered, “She’s nine years late.”
“Nine years too late, but made it still,” Cecilia said.
When Cecilia walked Heart down the aisle, she could not help but cry.
Meanwhile, Heart answered a netizen who asked why her father Reynaldo did not attend.
Heart said, “he is recovering” with a smiley face.
Heart and Chiz have been married since 2015. Heart’s parents did not attend the ceremony, as it was rumored that they did not approve of their daughter’s relationship with the politician.
Their renewal of vows happened in Balesin Island. Heart wore a custom Ellie Saab piece, followed by a custom Micheal Leyva gown.
Earlier, Heart said she's ready to become a mother now more than ever.
