Heart Evangelista on being blessed with child: 'I feel like I'm ready'

Heart Evangelista became emotional as she talked about her current life with Senator Chiz Escudero and his kids.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the Global Fashion Icon was interviewed at an event by Boy Abunda.

Heart expressed her gratitude to her stepchildren, Chesi and Quino, for the trust they gave her.

"I didn't give them the gift of life but they gave me, you know, the feeling of really what love is and they really accepted me," she said.

Heart also shared her hope to have her own child.

"It's so hard when you question yourself of all these things but when I look back at my life, you know, with the people, and the experiences I had, all the hardships of being alone, it makes sense now," she said.

"And I feel like if there's any moment that I should be blessed with a baby, it should be now because I feel like I'm ready as a person and I would be able to give more," she said.

Heart and Chiz got married in 2015. Heart got pregnant in 2018, but she lost their twin babies to a miscarriage. 

The couple are set to renew their vows this month. In an Instagram post, Heart teased the upcoming ceremony by posting a photo of a bouquet.

They spent last Christmas together in Japan and also welcomed the new year together with their family.
